privacy

we are lazy about a lot of things. collecting your data is one of them. here is exactly what we gather, why, and how to get it changed or removed.
who we are
lazy branding studios pvt. ltd. runs this site, lazybranding.com. we are based in kathmandu, nepal, and we work with people and businesses around the world.
because our visitors come from everywhere, this policy is written to meet nepal's individual privacy act (2075), the eu and uk gdpr, california's ccpa and cpra, and caloppa.
what we collect
we collect only what you give us. the contact, careers, subscribe, and audit forms ask for your name, your email, and whatever you type into the message, role, budget, salary, website, or resume and portfolio link fields.
when you book a call, our scheduling tool, cal.com, takes your name, email, and a time directly, and passes the booking back to us.
we do not buy data, and we do not ask for more than we need to reply to you. we do not collect your phone number, your address, or any social-login details, and we never take payment on this site.
what stays on your device
the door you pick and the first name you give the site live only in your browser's local storage, along with small display preferences like a lighter-graphics mode. they personalise what you see while you are here.
that information stays on your device and is never sent to us until the moment you submit a form. clear your browser storage and it is gone.
what we measure
we keep light, privacy-friendly analytics so we can see which pages and sections people use. it records things like pages viewed, a few actions, a rough device and browser type, and an approximate location from your ip address.
our analytics runs without cookies and does not place a tracking identifier on your device. we do not use advertising pixels, retargeting, or any cross-site tracking.
how we use it
we use your details to reply to you, schedule and do the work you asked about, and review applications. that is the default, and for most people it is the whole story.
we email you only if you opt in, or to answer something you sent us. opting in is a checkbox you tick yourself, never one we tick for you.
where the law asks for a legal basis, ours is your consent, our agreement to work together, our legitimate interest in running and improving the site, and any legal duty we have.
email, and stopping it
we send marketing email only with your express consent, given by ticking the box on a form. every email carries a one-click unsubscribe, and you can also email us to be removed. unsubscribing takes effect promptly and asks no questions.
who we share it with
we keep a small set of trusted services running the studio, and share only what each one needs to do its job:
- vercel, which hosts the site and provides privacy-respecting analytics (usa).
- posthog, our product analytics, set up cookieless (usa).
- sanity, which manages the site's content (eu and usa).
- resend, to send and deliver our email (usa).
- a clickup inbox, where new enquiries and applications land for triage (usa).
- cal.com, when you book a call (usa and eu).
we do not sell your information, we do not share it for anyone else's advertising, and we have not done either in the past year. we would only disclose information if the law required it, or as part of a business sale, where the new owner would have to honour this policy.
sending data across borders
we are in nepal, and the services above sit in places like the united states and the european union. if you use the site from elsewhere, your information will be handled in those countries, which may have different data laws than yours.
where the rules require it, such as for eu or uk data, we and our providers rely on safeguards like the standard contractual clauses.
how long we keep it
we keep enquiry and project information while we are working together, and for a reasonable period afterward to honour our records and obligations.
subscriber details are kept until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete them. when information is no longer needed, we remove it.
keeping it safe
we use reasonable measures to protect your information, including encryption in transit. no site is perfectly secure, so please share only what you need to.
your rights
wherever you are, you can ask to see the information we hold about you, correct it, delete it, or stop our emails. write to the address below and we will respond within a reasonable time and as the law requires.
if you are in the eu or uk, you also have the right to restrict or object to processing, to data portability, to withdraw consent, and to complain to your local data-protection authority.
if you are in california, you can ask what we collect and how we use it, get a copy, correct it, delete it, and opt out of any sale or sharing. we do not sell or share personal information, so there is nothing to opt out of, and we will never treat you differently for asking. you can use an authorised agent, and we will verify the request first.
if you are in nepal, we collect and use your information with your consent and only for the purposes here, and you can contact us to review or correct it.
do not track
some browsers send a do-not-track signal. there is no shared standard for it, so the site does not change behaviour based on it. either way, we do not track you across other sites for advertising.
children
this site is for adults and a professional audience. it is not meant for children, and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 16. if you think a child has sent us information, email us and we will delete it.
changes to this policy
we may update this policy. when we do, we will change the date at the top, and your continued use of the site means you accept the update.
